Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise of space tourism. As the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts, Kristin grew up in the industry of space. She worked for the past five years covering the Trump and Biden Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. In this time, she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus as well as two different administrations' initiatives. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan for a restricted trip. Prior to becoming a part of the company in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up in local TV news stations in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter live in Washington, D.C.
